Mozart Prague 2006
The whole cultural world remembers 250 years from the birth of W. A. Mozart.
To commemorate this anniversary the project MOZART PRAGUE 2006 is prepared. A great number of cultural events is held within the regular programme of the individual organizers as well as unique cultural and social projects. Mozart of the year 2006 is a musician both classical and modern. His brilliant work will come to life thanks to the perfomance of leading orchestras and soloists from the Czech Republic and abroad. In order to carry out such an extensive project, major cultural institutions and organizations united, guaranteeing high cultural and professional quality.
Prague visitors have an opportunity to get to know all Mozart's works connected with Prague and to gain insight into his music. With this comprehensive project of concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions and social events Prague will join the other European cities that will remember the anniversary of Mozart's birth and his musical legacy.

Czech Cubism Gallery
New Gallery is open in The House of the Black Madonna at Celetna 34. Gallery has a large collection of Czech Cubist and Cubist Expressionist art which is presented in permanent exhibition. Now it is enlarged with long terms loans from the estate of the architect Vlastislav Hofman. Gallery is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm except Monday.

There are a lot of events everyday in Prague. Find the schedule in biweekly program Downtown. This program is available free at cinema lobbies, pubs and galleries. Also consult weekly paper Prague Post.
Remember Prague is the European center of culture. The best regular performances are listed below. You should not miss to visit State Opera, to listen some classical music concert in Rudolfinum or Municipal House and to see some black light theater performance. By the way the black light theater originated in Prague in 1961 and spread through the whole world.
