Sport Activities Czech (especially young) people love to sport and they are outdoor oriented. It is easy to find somebody to take a walk with out of the city to beautiful Czech countryside or to ride a bike to the mountains especially in summer. Czechs tend to spend the whole weekends outside the cities. If you have to stay in the city, visit one of the fitness centers, go to swim or go jogging to the nearest park.

Rent a Bike

Czech countryside is nice place to ride a bike especially in summer. Although bicycle lanes are rare you will make a great time riding through the undulating romantic scenery full of the small villages, meadows, ponds and forests. Also you will have a chance to check out your shape in the mountains. But it is not the best idea to start your bike tour from any big city because of the heavy traffic there. Use the train to escape from the city instead.

While you are in Prague rent a bike at:

Swimming Pools

There are several swimming pools in Prague. The biggest and the famous one, Swimming Stadium Podoli (Plavecky stadion Podoli), is located on Podolske nabrezi. From Wenceslas Square take tram No 3 to the Dvorce stop (about 20 minutes) and walk ahead (about 3 minutes). The stadium is on your left. It is open daily from 6 am to 10 pm. There are one 50 meter pool inside, one 50 meter pool and one 30 meter pool outside. Be careful and leave your valuables in safe box at the desk, not in lockers! You will need two 100 Kc notes for deposits, one for the locker key deposit and one for the safe key deposit.
