Stone Age Virtual Reality

Czech graphic designer Albert Jindra had made the following virtual reality and the panoramic pictures for you in summer 1997 (!), ages before Google Street View has been introduced. Think back the stone age of virtual reality with the following pictures.

To join virtual reality you need PC computer with Windows 95/NT and QuickTime or PowerMacintosh with MacOS 7.5 and QuickTime 2.5. You need RealSpace plug-in for your browser. When you are in VR Space use your mouse to turn right/left and press Shift to zoom in or Ctrl to zoom out. If you do not have a powerful computer or your browser does not work with the RealSpace plug-in, you can enjoy just the panoramic pictures. Read the Copyright Statement before starting copying any of these pictures.

Virtual Reality with Google Maps

Previous virtual reality and panoramic pictures has become rather archaic when Google Street View has been introduced. Now it is so easy to make virtual reality tour around the whole city of Prague through Google Maps.

While staying in Prague, enjoy the best Prague Castle panoramic view from Smetanovo nabrezi. It looks like at the following picture.

While you are in Prague, find the best place for taking pictures of Prague panorama at the crossroads Ke hradu at Hradcanske namesti (Hradcanske Square) and from the viewpoint bellow Strahovske nadvori (Strahovske Courtyard). The very best view is from the statue of St. Mary from Exile located in park at lat50.08556, lon14.39101
